Bachelor of Public Health

Bachelor of Public Health (BPH) is a 4 year annual program with an aim to produce public health professional with technical and managerial competencies and to plan implement & evaluate public health programs.

Objectives

  • To enable the graduate to explain the relevance of basic health sciences in public health
  • To appreciate behavioral, socio-cultural, economic and other dimension of health and disease.
  • To build the capacity of the graduates to analyze health systems from public health perspective- effectiveness, efficiency, equity and justice
  • To enhance the capacity of the graduate to manage i.e plan implement, monitor and evaluate health systems, program and services
  • To enable the graduate to conduct health research for evidence based decision making process in public health
  • To build the capacity of the graduates to demonstrate leadership in and organize and mobilize community to address health problem.

Admission requirements

MMIHS will strictly follow the rules and regulations of the University and Medical Education Commission. The candidate must have I. Sc. or 10+2 degree securing at least 50% marks in aggregate or GPA 2.4 with major subjects such as physics, chemistry and biology or equivalent; certificate in Health Sciences with registration in respective council. Besides, the basic academic requirement, the students should be qualified on the entrance examination taken by Medical Education Commission to enroll in the program.
