PROSPECTIVE AREAS OF COLLABORATION BETWEEN MANMOHAN MEMORIALINSTITTUE OF HELATH SCIECNES AND

QIQIHAR UNIVERSITY

Manmohan Memorial Institute of Health Sciences is planning to work closely with Qiqihar Medical University to expand cooperation between the two institutions

The collaboration meeting was held at MMIHS on 22 April 2019

The recent meeting was held to pave the pathway to strengthen ties between two institutions.

The meeting discussed on the key priority areas of cooperation between Manmohan Memorial Institute of Health Sciences and Qiqihar Medical University. The following areas were identified.

• • Joint research: Qiqihar Medical University has shown keen interest to conduct research on looking at the risk factors associated with the altitude on cerebral hamerrohage, stroke and other cardiovascular diseases. Qiqihar Medical University is eager to conduct the joint research on the trekkers in Nepal to do the analysis of hematological parameters and the gene analysis to understand the risk factors. Likewise there is the possibility to link the research with the Belt and road initiative with the Chinese government. It was agreed to explore other research areas of joint interest too.
  • Faculty and Students exchanges: The meeting agreed to explore areas for the faculties and students exchanges in the field of nursing, public heath, pharmacy and medical
  • Expand support for the postgraduate and PhD scholarships to Manmohan Memorial Institute of Health Sciences faculties.
  • Dr Sandip Shrestha, will coordinate from Qiqihar Medical University to expand the collaboration.
  • Explore other areas of cooperation as per mutual interest.
