Institutional Review Committee
The Institutional Review Committee (IRC) of NEHCO IRC (Manmohan Memorial Institute of Health Sciences) Soalteemode-13, Kathmandu, Nepal, is an approved body from Nepal Health Research Council (NHRC). MMIHS-IRC established in 2013, to ensure the ethical integrity, academic quality, and relevance of research conducted within the institution. The IRC serves as a guiding and monitoring unit to uphold standards in research activities, particularly those involving human subjects and laboratory animals, in accordance with national and international ethical guidelines. The committee reviews research proposals, monitors ongoing projects, and provides ethical clearance to ensure compliance with established norms and regulations.
Ensuring the highest ethical standards in research, contributing to socially responsible and impactful academic and scientific research work.
Promote and safeguard ethical research practices at NEHCO-IRC, Manmohan Memorial Institute of Health Sciences by providing rigorous, fair, and timely review of research proposals, thereby fostering a culture of academic integrity and excellence.
To review and approve research proposals submitted by students, faculty, Clinician and external researchers in accordance with ethical guidelines.
To promote awareness and understanding of research ethics among the faculties, staff researchers and stakeholders.
To ensure that research conducted at the campus respects the rights, dignity, and welfare of participants.
To facilitate capacity building and training in research ethics and governance.
To collaborate with national and international research bodies for the continual improvement of ethical review processes.
This area is designated for storing and managing approval letters and related documentation for research proposals.
