The Department of Lab Medicine and ECA Committee, MMIHS organized an Inter-Departmental Oratory Competition on 26th Shrawan, 2082. The topic of the speech competition was “MENTAL HEALTH IN STUDENT LIFE”. The competition was held with an aim to create a platform for developing public speaking skill and also to aware students about mental health.
Total 7 students participated in the competition. The panel of three judges, Prof. Durga Mishra (Faculty, Public Health) Asst. Prof. Soma Kanta Baral (HOD, Lab Medicine), and Assoc. Prof. Poojan Sharma (Faculty, Nursing) judged the contestants on the basis of their presentation skills, contents and overall impression. The program concluded with result announcement and prize distribution. The winners of the speech competition were: First Position: Shila Khanal , BPH First Year, Second Position: Kaushila Lama, B. Sc. Nursing Fourth Year and Third Position: Samikshya Parajuli, B. Sc. Nursing Second Year. Prof. (Dr.) Dharma Prasad Khanal, Campus Chief (MMIHS) distributed certificates and prizes to the winners and also concluded the session with importance of Mental Health, its stigma and hiding psychology of the society that to overcome with courage and positive thinking.
