Meeting with LJMU


A meeting between Liverpool John Moores University and Manmohan Memorial Institute of Health Sciences was held on 4th May 2017 in Kathmandu. 
Honorable Minister for Education Mr. Dhaniram Poudel, as a chief guest, Mr. Rajendra Prasad Pandey; Member of Parliament, Dr. Bansidhar Mishra; Member of Parliament, Mr. Jiwan Prakash Sharma, Dr. Sujan Babu Marhattha, Dr.Dharma Prasad Khanal, Prof. Beenu Bista, Durga Mishra and Puspa Raj Khanal from MMIHS and Dr. Edward John Harcourt, Pro-Chancellor, Prof. Laura Bishop, Dean Faculty of Sceience, Prof.Padam Simkhada, Dr.Bibha Simkhada from of Liverpool John Moores University attended the meeting.
The main objective of the meeting was to discuss on the possible areas of collaboration in academia and research between Liverpool John Moores University and MMIHS. The meeting discussed on the ongoing collaborative research projects with Nepalese institutions and how to bring innovation and technologies from UK Universities to Nepal to strengthen quality education and to produce competitive human resources

Master Programs Proposed at MMIHS

  • MN

    MMIHS is planning to run MN program aimed at preparing top-level nurses with advanced knowledge and skill within the context of primary health care in order to improve the health and wellbeing of the individual/family/ community throughout  their life cycle. It enables nurses to take a role of top manager in the areas of Gov/NGOs/INGOs in the hospital & community and to get involve in research activities which ultimately strengthen in provision of quality education, services and administration / leadership as well.


  • MPH

    MMIHS is planning to run Masters of Public Healthan academic course with a mandatory 6-months research activity work and 6 months practicum that aims at preparing public health specialists with an ability to comprehend existing and emerging public health problems and to provide leadership in health related educations, services and researches.


  • MPharm

    MMIHS is planning to run MPharm academic Program. The main aim of this course is to train students in the field of Pharmacy. Theoretical as well as practical training is imparted to the candidates so that they can independently investigate and develop expertise in the field of Medicine.
